Terms of use
Last updated: 24 June 2026
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Elio website and services. By creating an account or buying a ticket, you accept these Terms without reservation.
1. Purpose
Elio is an event discovery and ticketing platform in Cameroon and the markets it serves. Elio connects event organizers with the public and provides payment processing and electronic ticket delivery.
Elio acts as a technical intermediary. The organizer remains solely responsible for the event, its content, its running and the information it publishes.
2. User account
Creating an account requires a valid phone number or email address. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account. Any fraudulent use must be reported to us without delay.
3. Ticketing and orders
Buying a ticket forms a contract between you and the event organizer. The electronic ticket (QR code) is personal and may not be resold without the organizer's agreement.
Prices are displayed in the active market's currency, taxes included. Service fees may apply and are shown before payment is confirmed.
4. Payment
Payments are processed through partner mobile aggregators (Orange Money, MTN MoMo) depending on the market. The order is confirmed once payment is validated by the operator.
Elio stores no banking data. Transactions are handled by approved payment providers.
5. Cancellation and refunds
If an organizer cancels an event, refunds are issued according to the conditions they communicate. Elio facilitates processing but does not act as guarantor of the organizer's funds.
Unless required by law, tickets purchased are not taken back or exchanged at the buyer's sole initiative.
6. Liability
Elio does its utmost to keep the service available but cannot be held liable for interruptions, content published by organizers or the running of events.
You may be held liable in the event of fraudulent use or use that breaches these Terms.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Cameroonian law. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of Elio's registered office, after seeking an amicable solution.
